What to expect in each school

Preschool:

Preschool at Timothy Christian Academy is all about giving children an enjoyable, smooth transition into their educational journey. This happens by teaching them fundamental academics alongside healthy social and spiritual behavior.

Elementary School:

The elementary years are when students build a foundation of knowledge and character they will carry with them throughout their lives. We strive to make lessons memorable, applicable, and meaningful to their experience, while also connecting each learning experience to principles in the Bible.

Middle School:

Our mission for middle school is to fully prepare students for high school—spiritually, personally, and academically. This is the point in academics when students can start choosing electives or specialties and begin taking more personal responsibility and accountability in their schoolwork.

Specials:

In addition to the traditional school curriculum, we recognize the importance of learning about music, art, and physical exercise.

Beautifully combines learning with faith

Choosing Timothy Christian Academy (TCA) for my children was a heartfelt decision, driven by our desire to pursue God in a nurturing environment where lifelong friendships could blossom. My children have truly thrived in this setting, passionately engaging in activities that fuel their love for music, art, and science. Our family’s journey here started in pre-k for both our children, and it has been a joy to watch one child graduate while the other is just starting junior high.

What makes this experience truly remarkable is the active involvement of parents in and out of school events and activities, as well as our relationship with teachers and staff. This has created a vibrant community, fostering connections that extend far beyond the classroom. This sense of belonging is invaluable, especially as a military veteran, who doesn’t have family nearby. The school has genuinely become an extension of our family, offering unwavering support during our hardships.

What I appreciate the most is that TCA beautifully combines learning with faith, allowing students to grow both spiritually and intellectually. This holistic, supportive environment is a key reason we’ve remained part of this wonderful community for so long.

Teachers and staff genuinely care

When my son was entering Kindergarten in 2021, we visited TCA for a tour.  Immediately, he fell in love. Mrs. Adams was very warm and sweet. When we left the school, he told me that ‘this is his school!’. We have never looked back. Since day one he has been excited to go to school and absolutely loves it. It is wonderful how the students form bonds of support, caring and friendship through their years of attending school in the same class. Most of all, he loves the teachers and staff. The teachers and staff at TCA genuinely care not only for the students, but also their families. TCA is such a wonderful school! We are praying that a high school will be in our future, since my son said that he never wants to attend another school!

The school environment is supportive

Irmgard and I are proud grandparents of Nathan, Evie, and Ada Dixon. Our impressions of their time at Timothy Christian Academy have been overall positive. Specifically, we find that the school environment is supportive for children, and the teachers certainly care for the kids in their classrooms. In a notable example, we had a teacher find us during end-of-day pickup to pass on an observation regarding an event that occurred with one of our grandkids during the school day–the teacher knew that the event had caused upset and just wanted us to know the background.

From the comments the kids (and their parents) have made, and the homework I’ve seen, the curriculum is certainly challenging and I’m impressed with the faith-based approach.

Further, the TCA administration is open to addressing parents’ concerns, questions, and input. Nathan, Evie, and Ada started in the NJ public school system when their family first moved to the area; however, support, care and openness to input were not characteristics displayed there. We are very happy that their parents switched to TCA!

On a personal note, I find Mrs. Hamilton’s ability to remember so many kids’ names and recognize faces of parents who pick up their children every day and/or grandparents (like Irmgard and me) who pick up less frequently to be amazing! Plus, she seems so joyful in completing her daily routine…cheers!”

Christ-centered curriculum

TCA is an important and valuable step for our children. We love the rigorous academics and feel confident that our children are getting a good education here. We especially love the Christ-centered curriculum and overall approach the entire faculty has in educating our children. Our children made great friends in a God centered environment that they will continue to cherish! As a military family, we are moving this year and we all will dearly miss TCA- only if we could take it with us!

Grateful for the love and care

As out of town grandparents, my husband and I are so grateful for the love and care that is given to our grandchildren at TCA! Whether it’s pick up after school, Grandparents’ Day, or morning drop off, every person we encounter feels like family. We love hearing our grandkids quoting their weekly scripture, talking about all the activities offered them, what field trips they’ve gone on, assemblies they’ve sang or played an instrument in and how much they love their teachers. Our grandchildren have grown so much over the last few years…TCA has played an important part in who they are. Thank you TCA for loving, teaching and leading like you do!

Happy that families are included

It’s so hard to put into words the joy and love I have for the school, the teachers, all of the staff! It makes me so happy to have the opportunity and freedom to come in to see and be a part of events, shows, plays, especially Grandparents Day! There have been times where I couldn’t make it there to see a special show my granddaughters are in but had the blessing of seeing it online. And to be able to share the online feeds to others who can’t make it. The faith and love they are teaching my granddaughters, makes me a very proud Grammy whose cup runneth over every time I see how happy they are there. I love how involved they allow all family members to be a part of what the school is doing for the kids.

Care for their spiritual well being

What makes TCA special to us is our desire to have an education for our children where their teachers cared for their spiritual well being just as much as their physical and educational well being. We have found this and more at TCA. Our children are growing daily spiritually thanks to the care of the teachers and the curriculum. When corrective action is necessary for the children, the principal ensures that it is done in love and with complete understanding from the child concerning how their actions align with scripture. This is an invaluable asset to compliment the values we are striving to instill in our home. Thank you for the opportunity to share.

The right place to start an education

We brought our child to TCA so that he could grow in an environment that combines good values, and close-knit community, and great academic standards. With him starting kindergarten in the midst of a pandemic that had so many children being left behind in other schools, we knew it was important to choose the right place for him to start his education. We found that at TCA, where he has been thriving both academically and as a person with strong faith-based morals. Every day that he goes to school, I know that he is surrounded by love and care from not just the staff but also the other students (of all grades) who are always learning to be mindful and take care of each other. We feel truly blessed to be part of the TCA community.

When you enroll your children at TCA, you no longer have to worry if they are receiving the support, academics, and biblical foundation they need—all of that is taken care of. When students leave TCA, they will not only be challenged intellectually, but they will be encouraged to have a service-based, Christian mindset.
